◆ Dashan/Mark Rosewell - Comedy Performance Artist

Mark Rosewell, a well-known "foreign comedian" in China, studied comedy under the tutelage of Jiang Kun. Over the years, he has been actively using his own strengths to bridge cultural exchange between China and Hong Kong. He has been a member of the Chinese Media Delegation to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics and a member of the Canadian Special Envoy to the Shanghai 2010 World Expo. "In 2006, he was awarded the Order of Canada, the highest lifetime achievement award of the Canadian public. In 2012, he was named "Goodwill Ambassador of Canada to China" by the Prime Minister of Canada, and in 2018, the University of Alberta awarded him the honorary degree of "Doctor of Philosophy".

◆ Lin Chen - Famous Canadian coloratura soprano

Lin Chen, a famous Canadian coloratura soprano, professional vocal instructor, dean of the Chen Lin Vocal Art Institute, head of the Canada-China Folk Culture and Art Troupe, and art consultant of the Canadian Chinese Professional Women's Association. She was known as the "Toronto Lark". The singing is full of grandeur and charm, and the style spans various singing styles such as pop, bel canto, and ethnic. Graduated from the Vocal Music Department of the Sichuan Conservatory of Music and the Opera Department of the China Conservatory of Music. ◆ Jessica Vigneault - Quebec famous versatile female singer

◆ Greg Amirault - World famous jazz guitarist/composer

Greg Amirault, a world-renowned jazz guitarist/composer from Nova Scotia, now lives in Montreal and is an active member of the local jazz scene. Holds BA and MA degrees in jazz from McGill University. In 2000, together with the Eduardo-Pipman Quartet, he received the "Universal Jazz Award" at the Montreal International Jazz Festival. He also won the "Prix d'Opus" of the annual concert with the Altsys Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Maria Schneider. He has recorded with the Eduardo-Pipman Quartet, singer George Evans, and has his own disc, Acadian Folk Songs, which includes original music. Canadian media commented that he is "one of the most important jazz guitarists/composers on the world stage today".

◆ Andre White - Famous drummer at the Montreal Jazz Festival

Andre White is a pianist, drummer, educator and recording engineer. Active in the Canadian jazz scene for over forty years. Has been active on the Canadian jazz scene for over 40 years. He has performed and composed with many Canadian and American jazz masters. He was hired as an Associate Professor of Jazz Studies at McGill University's Schulich School of Music and continues to perform as a freelance pianist and drummer.

◆ Adrian Vedady - Famous Professor of McDermott Bass

Adrian Vedady is a professor of bass at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University. He is a famous music professor and performer at the Montreal Jazz Festival. He has been performing, recording and touring with the best musicians in Montreal. He has performed at jazz festivals and musical theaters in Canada, the United States, Europe, Mexico, India and China.

◆ Benfa Zhang - Canadian baritone singer

Benfa Zhang, baritone singer, and vocal teacher graduated from Shenyang Conservatory of Music, formerly an actor of Beijing Comrades Art Troupe, now lives in Montreal, Canada, and founded Kexin Music Studio. He has participated in more than 100 performances of Chinese and foreign operas and large-scale vocal divertimento; he has provided vocal music guidance for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the PLA General Hospital and other units. He has participated in the recording of CCTV programs many times and served as a judge for the annual finals of the Avenue of Stars. In 2019, he was invited to Canada to participate in many performances such as the Montreal International Dragon Boat Culture Festival, the International Double Fifth Festival Gala, the Montreal FHXY Spring Festival Gala, and the Montreal Phoenix Huaxing Spring Festival Gala. In 2020, invited by the Sichuan Chamber of Commerce in Quebec and Hong Kong Satellite TV to plan the Mazu-Shuguang Night Spring Festival Charity Online Gala and act as the chief director. In 2021, he will be invited to conduct a national tour with the famous conductor Zheng Jian and the Beijing Music Association.

◆ Lili Feng - Montreal coloratura soprano

Lili Feng, won the Excellence Award in the 2013 Alcamo International Vocal Competition in Italy; won the third prize in the 46th Bellini International Vocal Competition in China; graduated from the Shenyang Conservatory of Music in 2013 and was rated as an outstanding graduate, and won the first place in the same year she was admitted to Shenyang Conservatory of Music as a postgraduate student; won the 2014 and 2015 National Scholarship for Graduate Students; participated in many concerts and worked as a concert rehearsal.

◆ Shijia Jiang - Famous Peking Opera performer in Montreal

Shijia Jiang, who graduated from the Directing Department of the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Opera, was hired by Concordia University to teach Peking Opera performance. Currently a teacher at the Confucius Institute in Quebec. Yue Qi also participated in the show. Yue Qi also studied Peking Opera for 7 to 8 years. ◆ Elsa Sun School of Dance Art - Montreal's famous dance artist

Elsa Dance Art School, founded in 2019, is a dance school in Montreal with rich teachers and professional technical capabilities. ◆ The NALAA Youth Art Troupe

Lixiao Wang (top left), an international student, at the University of Montreal, is studying Mathematics and Physics. He received a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from the Faculty of Sciences and Arts. He is passionate about the piano, with great attainments, from the first year of his CPES certificate in piano at the Conservatoire de Boulogne-Billancourt, in France. He was the third-place winner of the 2021 Montreal University Stage Arts Competition and the "Top 10 Campus Singers" in the "Winter Olympics 2022 Chinese New Year Singing Competition" organized by the Fédération des écoles de Québec et de Nouvelle Provence. In 2022, he was awarded the title of "Top 10 Campus Singer" (piano playing) in the "Winter Olympics Spring Festival Campus Singing Competition" held by the Quebec and New Province Federation of Schools.

 

Zhicheng Guan (upper right), was born in Shanghai in 2009. Learned piano at the age of 3 and cello at the age of 6, under the tutelage of Professor Chen Weiping from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In 2017, he participated in the Shanghai Student Art Individual Competition and won the first prize in the string group; in the same year, he participated in the Shanghai Youth Cello Competition and won the first prize in the children's solo group and the first prize in the ensemble group. Member of North American Literature Academy.

 

Yijia Tan (bottom left), born in February 2004, is eight years old and has studied under the tutelage of Mr. Huang Shaoqiang from the China Conservatory of Music and Ms. Yang Zichan, a famous Canadian guzheng performer. She won the Guzheng Gold Award in the 2021 Central Conservatory of Music Canadian Music Competition, and the Gold Award in the Canadian COMC-MOMA 2020 Competition.

 

Aiden Liu (lower right), started learning piano at the age of five and studied with violinist Xu Zhi at the age of seven. He won the RCM Violin Level 5 Quebec Gold Medal; the champion of the 2021 CMC 7-10-year-old group; the 2022 MCMF Junior Champion and other awards. A member of North American Wenyuan, he has participated in large-scale performances such as the International Double Fifth Festival Gala, the Dragon Boat Cultural Festival, and the "Chuncao Chunhui" ballet charity night.

◆ Sandra - A famous Montreal ballet artist

Sandra, Principal Dancer and International Guest Artist. After graduating from the Vienna Academy of Music, she won many honours in international ballet competitions held in Russia, Switzerland and other places. She has had very successful collaborations with well-known artists such as Edouard Lock and Vladimir Malakhov. Have danced in the footsteps of the people of Lalala, the Ballet of the Vienna State Opera, the Slovak Opera, the world-famous Lido in Paris and many other famous companies. Sandra and Diego Castro are two professional ballet dancers who founded the Montreal Youth Ballet Company.

Tribu Kumbé Dance Ensemble, is a South American-themed dance art group whose mission is to create choreography rooted in the essence of Colombian traditional dance and contemporary dance expressions. The result of this combination is a movement that, while exploring Colombia's tri-ethnic heritage (African, Indigenous and European), combines it with dance forms of the present age. Overall, the collective offers a well-balanced artistic proposition that enables the public to connect with the universal concepts explored on stage. Through captivating compositions, Tribu Kumbé delivers a performance full of color and emotion.

◆ 2KSQUAD - Montreal Korean Dance Troupe

2KSQUAD is founded on authenticity, gratitude and inclusion. We are a non-profit organization based in Montreal consisting of over 80 talented dancers, singers and musicians. By sharing our passion for K-Pop, we strive to grow as performers and people. Through our local shows, collaborations and workshops, we aim to promote Korean pop culture and inspire the K-Pop community in Montreal.  

◆ The Dreamland Chinese Choir of Montreal

The Dreamland Chinese Choir of Montreal was founded on September 8, 2013 in Montreal by Ms. Weilan Meng, one of the eight female senior engineers of the first generation of rare metal smelting trained by the People's Republic of China. "The Dreamland Chinese Choir of Montreal" is not only the first Chinese choir with the largest scale in Montreal but also a trilingual choir that focuses on Mandarin and integrates English and French into its singing. Head Xing Qi, conductor Congwei Feng , art director Victoria Zhu, and vocal music director Craig Girardin are committed to the exploration of Chinese and Western music and culture for the choir, using music to connect the emotions of overseas Chinese, deepening communication, and the same time bringing the culture and art of classic works from various countries The beauty, presented to Canada. The vast majority of the troupe members are professionals in various fields, gathered many singing and dancing performance talents, and brought wonderful performances to Montreal many times.

◆ Montreal Jiahua School

Montreal Jiahua School, since its establishment in 1994, has adhered to the purpose of spreading Chinese culture overseas and cultivating students' all-around development. It not only offers multi-subject and multi-level courses such as Chinese/mathematics/art in Montreal but also actively organizes students to participate in various compositions. Competitions, speech contests, etc., as well as returning home to participate in various beneficial cultural activities. Jiahua School is one of the first batches of "Overseas Chinese Education Demonstration Schools" of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China, "Shanghai Overseas Promotion Center", and one of the largest Chinese schools in Canada. "China Roots Summer Camp" (including "Summer Camp for Overseas Outstanding College Students") is one of the most important cultural activities of Jiahua School and has been successfully held for 18 sessions so far.

◆ NALAA recitation group

The NALAA Recitation Group is a recitation art group affiliated with the NALAA. Its predecessor was the Music Recitation Salon established in 2016. It has held many large-scale recitation activities for all to see. It is the first reading group in Montreal to bring the art of music reading to the big stage; it is the first time to perform poetry reading performances in the form of music and dance poems; it is the first time to try situational poetry reading performances; it is the first time to hold Mid-Autumn Festival poetry; Love-Love is Eternal Global Poetry Reading Concert Performance.

 

The NALAA recitation group is not only the largest reading platform in Montreal but also the cradle for cultivating reading talents. It has created various forms of reading artworks. Jinfang Wu , the reading consultant of NALAA, has been unremittingly committed to teaching and sharing for reading lovers for several years. Absorbing the rain and dew of knowledge, members have steadily improved and grown through hard work. In 2022, the NALAA recitation group will join the Quebec Chinese School Association.
