After the press conference, in order to celebrate Canada’s National Film Day, as a partner, the China-Canada International Film Festival will screen three films directed by Canadian directors for public benefit, including "Vikings", "Mizzie Falls Asleep", "Red Violin". This is a rare opportunity to sit down with Canadian directors and discuss film shooting together; it is a God-given opportunity to discuss cooperation opportunities face to face with Canadian directors; it is an honor to sit side by side with Canadian directors and share the films they have directed. China-Canada International Film Festival sincerely invites you and your family to take the time to come.

Vancouver director and filmmaker Anthony Shim's stunning feature debut, "Asleep" tells the story of a Korean single mother raising her young child in the early 1990s after the death of her husband. The story of his young son moving to Canada.

"The Red Violin" by Montreal director and screenwriter François Girard tells the story of a very special and well-made 17th century violin. This masterpiece violin with a mysterious red glaze, made by skilled craftsmen, is awaiting auction at a Montreal auction house. As the auction proceeds, the violin’s history is revealed through four interrelated stories spanning 300 years. As it passed through the hands of musicians in Italy, Vienna, London and Shanghai, the violin added romance, adventure, intrigue and tragedy to its owner's life.
